PINK POP STAR CUSTOM BAND STAND

Above: Brick Trick artist Trick Richey creates a band stand and concert scene for the PINK POP STAR which is one of 16 special edition minifigures in "Series 2" from the manufacturer.

PINK POP STAR CUSTOM BAND STAND

This posting features images of a fun project created by Brick Trick artist Trick Richey. In this custom creation the pop star is appearing on stage with her band which includes guitarist, keyboard player, drummer and back up singers wearing mariachi ponchos. The "Maraca Men" are also figures from "Series 2"; Trick used extra ponchos contained in each Series 2 minifigure package to outfit other band members for a cohesive costumed look. There are also several dozen minifigures in the "crowd" and even two police officers to keep things in order.

PURPLE AND GOLD FLORIST • CUSTOM MODULAR BUILDING

This posting features images and details for another in the series of custom-designed and artisan built original models from Brick Trick Dude. While created to coordinate with your other CITY, TOWN or TRAIN buildings in minifigure scale, this nicely detailed and finished brick sculpture will also work well as a stand-alone piece. The PURPLE & GOLD FLORIST is an original creation from the Brick Trick Dude building studio here in San Francisco and is one-of-a-kind.

EXTERIOR: The PURPLE & GOLD FLORIST project features 3 stories of space constructed on a 16x32 peg base plate. The front exterior is decorated on the sidewalk level with awnings, a rolling flower cart, a tree and a cool tile design delineating the entrance. The second floor exterior has two arched windows and the third floor exterior has two arched windows with “stained glass”. The entire front façade is a beautiful scheme of dark purple, white and pearl gold. The back and sides of the building are entirely white with accent stripes of light bluish-gray. The back features windows on each floor, a ground level back door, a trash dumpster with broom and a porch light. The roof has a large "skylight". Modular construction techniques allow the roof and top floors to be removed for interior viewing and then easily re-stacked.

INTERIOR: The FLORIST SHOP occupies the interior of the ground floor. The floral retail space has high ceilings and features a large wall unit with bottles and “vases” and multiple floral arrangements decorate counters and pedestal displays. There is also a cash register, filing cabinet, “track lighting”, and a clock on the wall. The entire floor is tiled in transparent green. The second floor is the office and workroom, with a desk and chair, a filing cabinet, art on the wall and a worktable with more flowers and vases for creating floral arrangements. The top floor is a chic studio apartment. There is a pink kitchen with sink and stove and a counter with mug. The sleeping area has a pink and magenta bed, a table with flowers, “track lighting” and a painting on the wall.

Notes: The project contains more than 1,200 bricks and parts as well as three minifigures. The sculpture weighs about 3 pounds and stands over 12" high at the top of the skylight roof ridge.
