WHITE & GREEN HOLIDAY HOUSE

Above: The WHITE and GREEN HOLIDAY HOUSE is another addition to the BRICK TRICK HOLIDAY TOWN project.

GREETINGS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

More work is still going on with the HOLIDAY TOWN project and more new buildings are being added almost everyday! One of the newer additions is this white building with green trim. Designed and built by brick artist PHILIP BUCHAN, this unit features cool architectural elements and a "tunnel" entry. Tunnel entries are infamous features of many SAN FRANCISCO row houses and are notoriously dark, underutilized spaces. Philip overcomes the darkness of a tunnel entry with this bright white and green color scheme, and as you'll see below, diamond shaped windows allow light into the tunnel entry and stairwell.

The wreath on the front was added by brick artist MITCH HIGHTOWER as a holiday adornment. These are easy to build using green 2x2 plates. Mitch decorated this wreath with red caps and a large red flower with a yellow amber transparent cap in the center.

Below: A close-up of the wreath added as a holiday decoration to this brick model.

TAN BANK BUILDING from the HOLIDAY TOWN

Above: The TAN BANK BUILDING decorated with a holiday wreath.

Greetings!

This posting features the TAN BANK BUILDING, another HOLIDAY TOWN addition. Designed and built by brick artist PHILIP BUCHAN, the TAN BANK BUILDING features two ATM machines and an awning on the front exterior. Interior features include a desk with chair and a teller window. The roof has a skylight constructed with clear transparent 1x2 plates.

As part of the Holiday theme, the TAN BANK BUILDING is decorated with a brick wreath. This was built using green 2x2 plates then adorned with red 1x1 caps. A large red flower with a gold/amber cap finish the look.

More images of the TAN BANK BUILDING follow.
